LODGES
BVRH operates 2 lodges with a total of 85 supportive living residential suites in Banff & Canmore. Most lodge residents are fully independent but enjoy the services and the chance to live as part of a community of peers.
INDEPENDENT SENIORS APARTMENTS
BVRH operates 62 apartment-style suites in Banff & Canmore, providing apartment-type accommodation and community to low-income seniors.
COMMUNITY HOUSING
BVRH manages 58 townhouse & houses in Canmore that are available to qualifying households, geared to low-income households that include dependent children.
RENT SUPPLEMENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT
BVRH administers this program on behalf of the province of Alberta and provides eligible households with a supplement of up to 30% of household’s gross income.

CASCADE HOUSE
A 21-suite seniors’ lodge with Level 2 supportive services and accommodation, conveniently situated in downtown Banff.

- Run in collaboration with AHS and their Home Care Program
- Residents must comply with residency requirements of Parks Canada

BOW RIVER LODGE
A 63-suite seniors’ lodge with Level 2 supportive services and accommodation, beautiful mountain sightlines, and conveniently located in central Canmore.

- Built in 1975, 15 additional units added in 2004
- Level 2 supportive living services with 24-hour monitoring
- Run in collaboration with AHS and their Home Care Program
- Owned by province of Alberta
- Subsidized by Town of Canmore/Banff, M.D. of Bighorn, Banff I.D. and Kananaskis I.D. as well as Alberta Lodge Assistance Program

34 self-contained apartment suites for low or moderate-income independent seniors who wish to live as part of a community, surrounded by friends & peers, in beautiful Banff.
- 34 self-contained unit complex
- Originally constructed in 1984 and with 12 units added in 1990
- Provides affordable rental accommodation to low/moderate income seniors
- Owned by province of Alberta
- Subsidized by both federal & provincial gov.
- Residents must comply with “residency requirements of Parks Canada”

28 self-contained apartment suites for low & moderate income independent seniors who wish to live as part of a community, surrounded by friends & peers, in beautiful Canmore.
