Our first annual Spring Garden Party was a great success!
The clouds parted over Canmore as the Bow River Senior’s Lodge celebrated Alberta Seniors’ Week with its first annual Spring Garden Party June 9th. Over 125 people attended the outdoor party, including the Bow Valley public, lodge neighbours, and lodge residents and their families. The event recruited more than 15 volunteers and brought together community partners including Parent Link, and the Bow Valley SPCA who put on an agility dog demonstration. Entertained by the 1776 Dixieland Band, everyone got in on the action with face painting, festive hat decorating, a group art mural, mini flower pot decorating and planting, and 5-minute chair massages from RMT Randy Ganne.
